District Spine

District Spine helps people suffering from back and neck pain, degenerative spinal diseases, and spinal trauma get their life back through comprehensive treatment. Led by Dr. Hamid Hassanzadeh, District Spine offers both surgical and non-surgical treatments for spinal conditions.

Since it is a part of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Washington D.C., the District Spine team can bring in specialists to help with the custom care plan for each individual while still providing a personal experience.

About
Dr. Hassanzadeh

Dr. Hassanzadeh began his training at the University of Hamburg School of Medicine in Hamburg, Germany and completed residencies at both Westküstenklinikum Heide and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As a spine surgery fellow at the Rush University Hospital and a pediatric spine surgery fellow Shriners Hospital, Dr. Hassanzadeh was exposed to a broad range of spinal conditions and treatments.

Hamid Hassanzadeh, M.D. is currently the Pradham Endowed Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins NCR as well as lead surgeon at District Spine.

Dr. Hassanzadeh Different

Over the course of his career, he has developed specializations in treating back and neck pain due to degenerative disk disease, spinal deformities like scoliosis,spinal infections and spinal trauma. He is an experienced surgeon for complex spinal surgeries and procedures, including minimally invasive disk replacement and spinal fusions.

Dr. Hassanzadeh’s top priority is his patients long term success. He is known for his involved and personable approach and takes a comprehensive approach to care.
